Harford Community College is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Specialist to join our team In this role, you’ll be the key to ensuring our employees have a smooth start and finish to their journey with us. You’ll oversee new hire orientations, manage exit processes, and administer essential training programs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Lead and facilitate engaging new hire orientations, setting the stage for employee success.
  • Oversee the exit process for departing employees, ensuring a positive transition.
  • Manage the College’s required training programs and modules, keeping everyone informed and compliant.
  • Issue and manage grant-funded employment agreements with precision.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to supervisors and staff, offering guidance and support on various HR matters.
  • Assist with HR operations, from contract development to policy implementation and beyond.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree.
  • At least three years of experience in an HR department, with a focus on orientation and/or training.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to relocate to Maryland or neighboring states if not already a resident.
