Position Overview

I. General Summary

The Clinical Nurse Specialist role is essential for nurses with over a year of experience. This position involves delivering and coordinating comprehensive care to patients within a specialized clinical area as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. The nurse will utilize the organization's care delivery and professional practice frameworks as a guide for professional nursing practice. This role includes participation in initiatives aimed at personal and group practice development, ensuring accountability to patients, families, and team members for the care provided.

Professional Growth

  • Engages in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

III. Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or eligibility to practice under compact state agreements.
  • Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience with a solid foundation of clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Current AHA BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Must meet all unit-specific certification requirements.
