Responsibilities

The Sr. Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our enterprise testing shared service. The Sr. QA Manager develops, manages, and executes all phases of quality assurance testing, including analysis of product requirements to produce test requirements, and development and execution of functional/system and automated test plans in a multi-tiered environment. This role also works in close cooperation with the business stakeholders, IS development and DevOps team members. The Sr. QA Manager applies analytical and business skills to evaluate existing and identify new or enhanced systems, products and processes which advance our business objectives.

  • Lead overall manual and automated testing efforts to maintain and improve software resiliency
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of business processes and interdependencies supported by our software systems/products
  • Manage the build out of an automation framework and performance/load test capabilities.
  • Introduce technology best practices in support of these processes
  • Ensure the creation of test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data for use during the testing phases of the software development lifecycle, for every aspect of new and existing software systems/products
  • Conduct and participate in test case reviews, requirement reviews and design reviews activities.
  • Ensure the teams documents and reports issues discovered during testing
  • Collaborate with internal IS teams, vendors and business stakeholders to align test strategy to meet customer requirements and expectations
  • Provide technology process leadership to develop agile testing processes to quickly deliver the product or feature with acceptable quality
  • Manage the performance and career development of the QA team
  • Work in Agile testing methodology team

Qualifications

Customarily has at least the following experience:

  • 10 or more years
  • Customarily has 10 or more years of experience leading Quality Assurance teams of both manual test analysts, automation engineers and team leads in a matrixed dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge in manual testing practices including test planning, requirements tractability, test execution and issue tracking
  • Proficient knowledge of leading automation and performance testing tools (like TestComplete,Neoload, Selenium)
  • Proficient knowledge with test management and bug tracking tools (like Jira
  • Familiarity with Agile & DevOps methodologies
  • Experience using CI/ CD pipelines with tools (like Bamboo, Jenkins)
  • Experience with tools used for data validation and comparison
  • Excellent reporting, time management, analytical & communication capabilities
  • Experience estimating project resource requirements, and managing product delivery schedules and associated risks
