We realize the greatest contributions to the company can come from anywhere in the organization, and we know that the next one could be yours We are looking for a Transportation Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination of deliveries of products from PriceSmart Distribution Centers and from PriceSmart vendors directly to our warehouses.


What's unique about this job (What you’ll do)


  • Booking and coordination of routing products directly to PriceSmart selling locations or local ports.
  • Data entry of shipping documentation for export shipping.
  • Provide the PriceSmart Merchants and team members with freight rates and specific freight quotes.
  • Determine the most efficient means of transportation for merchandise with minimal costs.
  • Solves problem and provides information as needed to facilitate the flow of the operations with the department.
  • Ability to maintain communication across many regions in the PriceSmart locations offices.
  • Liaison between the PriceSmart vendors, carriers, distribution centers, merchandising and accounting departments.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain spreadsheets and TMS for daily use in database and daily operational needs.
  • Proven ability to multi-task with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • Degree level qualification in a technical discipline is preferable
  • Five years work experience with at least two years of transportation experience
  • Experience in using Transportation Management Systems
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Strong writing skills (English and Spanish)
  • Strong communication skills (English and Spanish)
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Access, Power Point, AS/400
  • Transportation experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with export documentation and requirements
