Key Responsibilities- Monitor driver performance and maintain detailed records of driver pay, equipment maintenance, and equipment performance.
- Review driver logs and paperwork to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Plan and schedule the assignment of work for transportation personnel and process weekly payroll.
- Verify vendor invoices and complete A/P vouchers.
- Monitor trip records and fuel reports for mileage, fuel costs, and fuel economy.
- Perform the necessary requirements of the Department of Transportation.
- Direct and coordinate all driver observations relative to safe operations, the performance of PWM and accurate delivery procedures.
- 4 - 8 years of transportation experience.
- 4-year degree plus 4 years of transportation supervisory experience and a broad understanding of computer systems, routing, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations is preferred.
Activities occur both inside (protection from weather conditions but not temperature changes) and outside.
Equipment OperatedA calculator, copier, fax, PC, CRT, Microsoft Office applications and telephone equipment are used in this position.
License or CertificationsNone, however a CDL driver's license and certificate of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations training is preferred.
