In My Sundays and Living Fully Co., two successful direct-to-consumer brands founded and led by Mallory Ervin, are seeking a Director of Product Development to join the team, with the role being based in Nashville, TN at Mallory Ervin HQ. 


In My Sundays began with our founder's deep passion for pajamas and the desire to create a brand that celebrates the joy of sleep and rest. As someone who always cherished the comfort and confidence that pajamas brought, our founder knew that she wanted to share that experience with others. The idea of launching a pajama brand clicked instantly, offering an exciting and creative venture that felt like a natural fit. With a vision to provide super high-end quality at an affordable price point, In My Sundays aims to bring a fresh and vibrant approach to sleepwear.


Living Fully Co. was created to inspire you to celebrate each and every season of life, both the dark and the light The brand, since its origin, has transformed into an apparel company with viral holiday sweatshirts, hats and hair accessories. The brand has amassed a loyal community. 

Living Fully Co. is about community and mass inspiration; a brand that is focused on meaningful connectivity and engagement with its loyal customers.


This is a dual-brand role, and the successful candidate will own the entirety of the product development life cycle for both In My Sundays and Living Fully Co. Focused primarily on soft goods, with an emphasis on pajamas, cut and sew garments, hats, and accessories, you will be responsible for all phases of the development process for a wide range of products while managing an off-shore supply chain. 


This is a hybrid role based in Nashville, Tennessee. Relocation reimbursement will be considered based upon highly qualified individuals. 


Critical Functions


  • Managing all phases of the product development cycle from initial concept and tech design to bulk production and ordering
  • Creating and maintaining a multi-faceted timeline for production across multiple skus for each brand 
  • Maintaining constant communication with the vendors and factories on design process, product modifications, and changes as necessary 
  • Negotiating with overseas manufacturers and managing international logistics 



Other Supplementary Duties


  • Communicate with the design team to execute product design visions
  • Identify ways to improve design, development, and production processes and communicate with overseas manufacturers to make changes as necessary
  • Update cross-functional departments on sampling, prototypes, timing, calendar, logistics, and general development updates
  • Create tech packs or equivalent for communicating with factories 
  • Lead diligence and oversight on raw materials, tech design, and production to see the product through the completion 
  • Manage and maintain clear and precise communication with all vendors and factories to ensure a detailed understanding of the entire development process and specifications of the desired product outcomes 
  • Attend fittings for call-outs, revisions, and notes to ensure all specifics are accurately communicated to vendors and factories 
  • Manage and drive all initiatives for cost savings, speed, quality control and efficiencies 
  • Manage source and develop packaging materials 
  • Work to ensure all timelines are met for scheduled product launches 
  • Manage, organize, and oversee product imports and shipments to ensure timely arrival to 3PL 
  • Submit POs for all orders of fabrics, samples, and bulk orders
  • Produce and submit product mockups and pre-production documents  
  • Handle other product-related issues, responsibilities, and projects as assigned 


Qualifications


• 3-5 years of experience in Product Development from concept to bulk product; fashion, apparel, and cut and sew experience is a must 

• Knowledge of raw materials, trims, construction, and fit is a must.

• Knowledge of surface techniques, such as screen printing and embroidery, is a must

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume, rapidly changing environment, and prioritize effectively with excellent organizational skills 

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to a diverse group of people
