Overview

Manager – IT Business Services reports to the Director – IT Business Operations and is primarily responsible for the management of IT’s budget, contracts negotiations, vendor relationships, purchasing, project intake, and capacity planning/management. This role works closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization.

You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer science, information technology, or related field. MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 7 years of business management experience in the information technology field, including budget management, contract negotiations/management, asset management, vendor relationship management, and project management.
  • Strong budgeting and financial analytical skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of software licensing and consulting/service agreements, including with the following vendors:
  • Microsoft
  • Oracle
  • Okta
  • Adobe
  • General knowledge of contract laws.
  • General knowledge of procurement principles, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Superb budgeting, inventory, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience as a strong cross-group collaborator and team player, dealing with complex problems, resolving conflicts, and experience influencing cross-functionality, and with executive-level audiences.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through both analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and well under pressure and perform multiple concurrent and diversified tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player, self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Managing a team of four (4) to six (6) people responsible for budgeting, financial analysis, purchasing, business reporting, contract negotiations/management, asset management, and project intake/capacity planning.
  • Establishing and tracking progress against both capital and expense budgets for the department.
  • Developing technology cost accounting methods to track the total cost of technology by functional area of the organization, invoice payments, and associated reporting.
  • Developing and tracking KPIs to measure IT functional area performance with a focus on product delivery and velocity trends.
  • Establishing dashboards to present KPI and technology performance against SLAs.
  • Manage technology contracts (master service agreements, statements of work, addendums, licenses, hosting, etc.) from negotiations through execution and ongoing management.
  • Working closely with the organization contract review board to ensure legal and risk compliance is strictly followed.
  • Developing IT sourcing strategies and standardized RFP processes to ensure the selection of the best vendors for IT services and products by tracking vendor performance.
  • Establishing standards to assess the performance of approved vendors and creating score cards based on supplier performance.
  • Tracking the resource planning of contracted vendor/partner staff to projects against SOWs to ensure compliance.
  • Onboarding and offboarding extended delivery long-term contract/contingent technology work force staff.
  • Managing the IT project intake process to ensure the appropriate information is gathered to prioritize IT projects.
  • Managing and analyzing prioritized IT projects against staff capacity.
  • Tracking all IT assets, maintaining the asset inventory, and creating relevant asset management reports.
  • Occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
