The Leasing Assistant is responsible for managing all aspects of leasing apartments, including interacting with prospective residents, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth leasing process. This role involves marketing the property, conducting tours, processing applications, and assisting with resident relations to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property tours and present apartments to prospective residents.
  • Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Follow up with prospects to convert leads into leases.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of lease agreements.
  • Provide excellent customer service to current and potential residents.
  • Address and resolve resident concerns and complaints professionally.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents to encourage renewals and referrals.
  • Implement and participate in marketing and outreach activities to attract potential residents.
  • Maintain knowledge of local market conditions and trends.
  • Create and distribute marketing materials as needed.
  • Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and verify references.
  • Maintain accurate records of all leasing and resident activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of move-in/move-out documents.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Participate in resident events and activities to enhance community engagement.
  • Assist in the inspection of units and property grounds to ensure quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous leasing or sales experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations preferred.
  • HUD experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
