IT Operations Specialist

Our client, based in Boston, is looking to fill an IT Operations Specialist role on a contract to hire basis. This is a hybrid role and requiresat least 1 day onsite per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing IT operations, vendor relationships, Technology Vendor licensing, audiovisual systems, and Help Desk functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that policies and procedures are up-to-date and comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Educate staff on IT policies and procedures and ensure adherence across the organization
  • Maintain strong relationships with IT vendors and service providers and coordinate upgrades, repairs, and troubleshooting
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of audiovisual equipment and systems
  • Ensure optimal functionality and usability of AV systems for meetings and presentations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure best value and performance
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage vendor-related issues to ensure optimal service delivery
  • Audit existing Microsoft licenses to ensure compliance and optimal usage
  • Implement a plan for cleaning up and refreshing Microsoft licenses
  • Manage the procurement and renewal of Microsoft licenses
