Funds Information Associate

Join the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Office of the Vice President for Finance as a Funds Information Associate. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight to ensure accurate acceptance and recording of gifts to the Institute.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all aspects of institutional information are captured and formally recorded efficiently and in accordance with donor intent.
  • Interact with various constituencies, including gift officers, senior leadership, and finance and investment partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, gift officers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to constituents, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to gift administration and financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or nonprofit management.
  • At least two years of professional experience in gift administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with database management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the Ellucian CRM Advance gift system or similar fundraising database.
  • Experience developing policies and procedures in a legal or fundraising context.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages, with experience working with databases and data entry.
