Be one of the early hires of at a data science startup dedicated to advancing marine forecasting solutions and environmental intelligence in the Blue Economy.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, STEM, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. MBA preferred.
- 3+ years experience in Product Management, preferably in a technical domain such as data analytics, AI, or environmental sciences. o Equivalent experience: At least 3 years of experience engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute product roadmaps, define product vision, and develop go-to-market strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Data-driven mindset with enthusiasm for using analytics to inform product decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Great to Have
- Experience with applications in marine, weather, environmental, or atmospheric science, with exposure to industries such as energy, transportation, and/or conservation.
- Understanding of predictive modeling and data forecasting applications.
- Basic familiarity with APIs, data-sharing platforms, and developer tools, to effectively communicate with the technical team and customers.
- Passion for advancing science and leveraging technology to create positive environmental impacts.
- Understanding of multiple functional areas including Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, and Marketing.
Responsibilities
1. Define Product Vision & Strategy
· Collaborate with Fathom Science’s leadership to refine product vision and strategic roadmap alongside technical counterpart.
· Understand diverse market needs for oceanographic and weather forecasting and translate them into actionable product requirements in conjunction with technical teams.
· Identify opportunities to expand product offerings that enhance marine safety, operational efficiency, and environmental resilience with input from technical partners.
2. Drive Product Development
· Prioritize feature development based on user impact, technical feasibility, and market needs, collaborating with technical leads to ensure the delivery of accurate, reliable marine forecasts.
· Oversee the product roadmap, ensuring on-time, high-quality, and on-budget delivery.
· Champion an exceptional customer experience, driving high engagement and satisfaction with Fathom Science’s products.
3. Develop Go-to-Market Strategy
· Prioritize target customer segments, cultivate relationships with design partners, and support customer acquisition initiatives.
· Collaborate with Marketing and technical teams to develop launch strategies, messaging, and user adoption plans.
· Monitor key product metrics, using insights to optimize product success and inform iterative improvements.
