Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to place in a role at one of our clients, a large bank in the Greater Atlanta, GA area. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing projects across various business units within the bank, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of investment banking operations and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across multiple business units within the investment bank.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely resolution of conflicts and challenges.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, identifying potential roadblocks and taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resource Management:
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to secure necessary resources for project execution.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Quality Assurance & Reporting:
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within the defined scope.
  • Prepare detailed project reports, including status updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project management and investment banking.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and team members.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience in project management within the financial services industry, preferably in investment banking.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of investment banking operations, products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and reporting.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
