United Facilities, Inc., is one of the nation's premier third-party logistics companies. We provide distribution and packaging services for Fortune 100 companies. Due to recent growth, we are adding another CI / Solutions Manager to our team


What you will do:

  • Consult with the leadership team to develop strategic plans in support of continuous improvement in key metrics such as safety, quality, cost, employee engagement, and growth.
  • Lead, support, and define CI initiatives and solutions to maximize the effectiveness of resources, processes, and technology to drive sustainable results.
  • Utilize process improvement techniques to collect and analyze complex production and operational processes. Partner with various levels of management to assess and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop metrics and return on investment (ROI); benchmark to establish best practices. Measure impact with actual vs. plan findings.
  • Produce and manage project plans including scope, objectives, risks, assumptions, resources, roles and responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Champion a solutions-oriented philosophy, attitude, and behaviors. Educate and train others on proper use of CI methodology and tools. Verify accuracy, validity and that information is kept current.
  • Establish communication, knowledge sharing, and reporting strategies to provide visibility into CI efforts and KPI's. Report regularly on project status, cost savings, impact, and effectiveness.
  • Create and participate in group presentations, communicate goals, solutions and potential impact to company leadership, customers, partners, etc.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies/methodologies through self-education, trade affiliations, etc. Evaluate and develop new solution tools by adapting, testing, modifying, teaching, and implementing.
  • Create and sustain accurate and training documentation.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Logistics, or a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in business transformation and process improvement using problem-solving / continuous improvement methodologies. Automated warehousing experience a plus.
  • Proven experience with CI methodologies such as: Value Stream Mapping, PBED (Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief), Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, 5S/6S, etc. required.
  • Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to confidently relate to, engage, and motivate others. Strong business vocabulary with sound presentation skills and comfort presenting to all levels of the organization including customers.
  • Effective written communication skills including the ability to write process instructions, produce reports, and create presentations.
  • Must be proficient in Smartsheets and MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Power Point, Access) with advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with Visio or other flow-charting applications.
  • Excellent project management skills required to effectively prioritize and oversee multiple projects.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability. Must be detailed, process driven, and results focused.
  • Demonstrates a passion and ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence change.
  • Requires approximately 20% travel or as needed.
