Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust, scalable database and data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) solutions.
  • Develop data ingestion store specifications, including source systems and tables and fields to ingest.
  • Create, update, and enhance metadata policies, processes, and catalogs.
  • Drive alignment and coordination of data governance efforts.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Data Design, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Governance, or Data Architecture.
  • Experience with end-to-end data lifecycle, ETL development, data technology products, and software development.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and development.
