Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Controls Project Manager to lead our initiatives in the commercial sector. This role is pivotal in overseeing the successful delivery of Direct Digital Control (DDC) system projects within commercial infrastructures. Your project management expertise, combined with a strong background in controls engineering and client relations, will be essential in providing top-notch building automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on project documentation and specifications.
  • Manage project timelines and provide updates to the project management team.
  • Regularly assess and report on project status to senior management.
  • Maintain all project-related documentation.
  • Address project submissions and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Identify and resolve potential project issues proactively.
  • Review material orders and ensure accuracy in coordination with project coordinators.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities and troubleshoot installation challenges.
  • Provide guidance and support to the project team.
  • Conduct system testing, configuration, and oversee project closure.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards for all personnel.
  • Conduct maintenance and site evaluations as necessary.
  • Stay informed on product updates related to installation and maintenance.
  • Offer technical assistance and training to clients.
  • Support technicians and project management with training initiatives.
  • Be available for occasional after-hours support as needed.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS/BMS or HVAC Controls project management.
  • Proficient in project estimation.
  • Familiarity with BAS/BMS platforms such as Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Delta Controls, Distech, or Trane.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including air handling units, variable air volume systems, boilers, and chillers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara.
  • Programming skills.
