The Technology Support Specialist I provides level one technical assistance to end users at Vari. This person works closely with other members of the Technology Support Team to respond to service requests received through a ticketing system. Break fixes are completed within SLA windows and recurring issues are identified and addressed to reduce unnecessary workload on the team. The Technology Support Specialist I contributes greatly to the overall success of the Technology Department by demonstrating an ability to understand existing office technology while also embracing new technologies that are introduced into the environment.


This is an in-person position at Vari’s headquarters in Coppell, TX.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

· Collaborate with other members of the team on projects and initiatives

· Create and update user, computer, and group objects within Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra

· Document within a ticketing system the steps taken to resolve technical issues

· Escalate issues as needed

· Install and relocate IT equipment for end user desk relocations

· Install and troubleshoot Windows and Mac applications

· Maintain knowledgebase and other internal documentation for desktop support and office technology related topics

· Provide in-person and remote timely technical assistance to end users

· Provide occasional after-hours technical support

· Setup and support various desktop IT equipment—including but not limited to desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals

· Work with IT equipment and service providers as needed (Microsoft, Dell, Apple, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience supporting Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android operating systems

· Experience supporting Microsoft 365

· Experience with user and computer objects Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra

· Experience with remote support solutions

· Experience with mobile device support

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 1 year in an IT support role or IT help desk environment

· MCP or A+ certification helpful
