The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be a key team member on the sales team and report to the VP of USA Sales. You will be responsible for generating revenue through direct sales of our products into the US market, as well as working with channel sales partners. You will be responsible for creating new sales opportunities and managing existing customer accounts.


Experience in test and measurement is strongly preferred. The applicant selected must be technically competent and have the proven ability to interface effectively and work closely with internal and external engineering and sales departments.


Knowledge Requirements

  • College or university graduate with a degree in electronics, electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering, electrical technologist or similar.
  • Experience working with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, etc.)
  • 6+ years of direct sales and/or sales channel management experience in the technology industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to work with customers, partners, and internal stakeholder.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Able to work independently, but within a team environment.


Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and drive new business within your territory.
  • Generate sales revenue by negotiating deals and selling products to customers.
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence in our suppliers’ products and how they can benefit the customer.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and suppliers to enhance existing accounts and acquire new customer accounts.
  • Build a strategic sales plan to ensure broad penetration into accounts within your territory.
  • Develop effective strategies for winning in a competitive environment.
  • Identify, establish, develop and close business while exceeding sales targets.
  • Understand prospect’s buying/decision process and the corresponding business cycles that can impact these processes.
  • Provide inputs to product marketing on customer needs, general market trends and issues for partners.
  • Develop and implement specific customer account and opportunity plans in support of company goals and quota objectives.
  • Provide presentations to customers addressing business problems and technical issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales forecasts, and other reports as needed.
  • Manage pipeline, meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Ability to travel within your territory.
