Title – Benefits and HRIS Manager

Hours: 8 - 5 - Hybrid

Salary: Up to $145K

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related degree
  • ­ At least 5 years of benefit program administration in a specialist role (Benefits Analyst, Benefits Specialist, Benefits Manager) and 5 years in a role responsible for HRIS management
  • ­ Knowledge of retirement plans and healthcare plans required
  • ­ Working knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA
  • ­ HRIS System data management experience (UKG is preferred)
  • ­ Experience with preparing presentations for the leadership


Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, employee assistance, retirement, wellness, COBRA, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Manage qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, including funding, and ensure compliance.
  • Support the VP of HR in preparing benefit presentations for the Board of Directors, CEO, and President using broker services.
  • Research and respond to complex employee and HR Manager inquiries regarding benefit plan interpretation, including eligibility, covered services, exclusions, and participant responsibilities.
  • Oversee the HRIS benefits configuration, including healthcare plan deductions, annual deduction goals, and limits.
  • Manage the benefit enrollment process, including organizing open enrollment meetings to ensure accurate and timely employee enrollments.
  • Maintain employee benefit eligibility, costs, and enrollment processes, and manage the benefits module within the HRIS system.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual 401(k) audit, responding to auditor requests and collaborating with 401(k) vendors.
  • Conduct 401(k) and FSA non-discrimination testing by preparing reports and working with vendors.
  • Assist the VP of HR in preparing the benefits budget in collaboration with the benefits broker.
  • Oversee the work of third-party administrators to ensure timely monthly reconciliation of benefits invoices.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation Manager to prepare the annual Total Rewards Statement.
  • Support weekly EDI file feeds with vendors by reviewing error reports, troubleshooting issues, and resolving data problems in partnership with HRIS and carriers.
  • Assist with ongoing benefits education initiatives, including development, implementation, and coordination with local HR managers, while tracking employee engagement metrics.
  • Stay informed on government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices to ensure benefit administration compliance with federal and state laws, including IRS and Department of Labor regulations.
  • Participate in HR department projects or additional goals as needed.

HRIS System Management:

  • Manage UKG module enhancements or additions, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • Coordinate system upgrades and manage system releases, staying updated on new features and changes.
  • Attend webinars and review presentations to assess the impact of module changes on the organization.
  • Collaborate with workflow stakeholders to review HR listings and presentations, determining necessary testing requirements for IT.
  • Compile testing documents and screenshots from workflow process owners, conduct HCM testing, and deliver compiled documents to IT.
  • Manage company-wide case management and resolution processes.
  • Deliver monthly IT reports, including Terminations Report, New Hires & Terminations Report, and monthly headcount reports; perform data pulls for EEO reporting.
