Job Overview

The Associate Product Manager is a key expert in both technical and commercial aspects. This position involves creating and delivering training, performing market and competitive analysis, and managing commercialization efforts to achieve product line revenue goals.

The role entails overseeing the product lifecycle for the ball screw and screw jack product lines, aiding the Senior Product Manager in revenue enhancement, pricing strategies, and margin growth, and developing marketing content. The Manager will also create tools and materials to support the sales team and channel partners.

This hybrid position requires being onsite three days a week at the Downers Grove, IL facility.


Core Responsibilities

Revenue Growth:

- Oversee the lifecycle of current products and services.

- Collaborate with sales and distribution channels to identify and secure new business.

- Manage and coordinate customer opportunities and growth projects.

Margin Expansion:

- Develop cost estimates and pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.

- Ensure accurate pricing by updating relevant data, systems, and processes.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to support cost reduction and supply chain initiatives.

Marketing and Communication:

- Provide content for marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and online product information.

- Train and motivate sales teams and distributors to effectively sell products and expand market share.

Market Research & Strategy:

- Continuously gather and analyze customer feedback and market trends.

- Prepare competitive product comparisons and pricing analyses.

- Support the Senior Product Manager in executing strategic plans.


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships.

- Ability to develop expertise in linear motion products.

- Experience in manufacturing environments.

- Comfortable working with diverse, cross-functional teams.

- Understanding of basic financial principles (pricing, cost elements, margin).

- Ability to sell to both internal and external customers.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
