Description:


  • Must Have Skills: - Knowledge and experience with Granite circuit database
  • IP knowledge and understanding of routing / assigning IPs
  • Solid knowledge Fiber, Ethernet, Cable Diagrams, Nokia equipment and Telco routing Equipment ordering
  • Microwave experience including: ALU/Nokia MPR9500, PCN, Equipment ordering
  • Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Decision making skills (by making appropriate use of all available information and data; anticipating the future and preparing accordingly; recognizing the impact of decisions upon the rest of the organization; receiving broad guidance; being accountable for broad project results; and being responsible for the leadership of broad programs in support of organizational or area strategies)
  • Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills needed.
  • Need to be highly productive and pay close attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with engineering and engineering economic principles preferred.
  • DWDM Optical Transport systems including: ALU/Nokia 7705 & 7750 routers DESIRED SKILLS: -Familiarity with Dark Fiber vendors, their organizational processes and standards, as well as their network portfolio maps is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Pathloss 5 microwave design software -Executive level troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational and planning skills (setting and communicating priorities; anticipating workload impact on resources of both self and team; delegating where appropriate; consistently following up on outstanding items; and providing focus in meetings and discussions).
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects.
  • Contract knowledge preferred but not required LOGISTICS: This position will be a standard, 8 hour, 8-5 type role, Monday through Friday in office 2 to 3 days per week. Must be local at the time of submission


Responsibilities


  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal written analytical and communication skills.
  • Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work with others be flexible as priorities change and be sensitive to deadlines and customer needs.
  • Must be able to work independently, but ask questions, not afraid to speak up - great team attitude. Lots of work so must be use to this and not get overwhelmed.
  • Handle 1-10 projects at a time
  • Someone with experience with racks, routers, and switches
  • Someone to create ISPECS
  • Create checklist for the build
  • Identify cable and cable length for installation
  • Experience with Ms. suite, excel and Google
  • Some field experience (preferred)
  • Some supervisory experience (preferred)
  • 5-10 years’ experience
  • Good communication skills


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:


  • A technical degree such as BSEE/BSCS and/or at least 2 years of wireless experience with a strong technical background.
