Role Summary:
As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in managing transportation operations and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and safety of our spaceflight missions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with external carriers to meet aerospace hardware transportation specifications.
  • Process Truck Requests to ensure compliance with delivery requirements.
  • Review and approve freight bills on a daily basis.
  • Generate monthly reports to identify process improvements and conduct budget analysis.
  • Conduct research and develop cost estimates for optimizing transportation contracts.
  • Analyze operational processes and present improvements to manage costs effectively.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support production needs.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of transportation vehicles.
  • Collaborate with inventory management, production scheduling, and engineering teams to ensure timely shipments.
  • Provide logistical support for special or urgent requirements as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing the Supply Chain Organization.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and aerospace hardware shipment.
  • Experience with transportation contracts and load dispatching.
  • Certification in Hazardous Materials Transportation (49 CFR).
  • Familiarity with shipping functions, including handling delicate and hazardous materials.
  • Proficient in calculating shipment weights and dimensions.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and data interpretation.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and perform elevated tasks safely.
  • Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee/asylee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, medical, or military sectors.
  • Familiarity with international shipping processes.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.

Compensation for this role is competitive and varies based on experience and qualifications.
