Associate Coordinator Maps & Records


About the Position

  • Maps & Records Coordinator shall aid the Mapping Supervisor in managing the workflow and processes performed by represented GIS/Maps & Records personnel involved in the collection and input of mapping data into the company's GIS Applications to ensure safety and to achieve Line of Sight goals.
  • This role is subject to Pipeline Material Handling Safety Act (PMHSA) regulations.


Job Purpose

  • To support the maps and records management team overseeing mapping personnel involved in the collection and input of mapping data into the company's geographic information system applications to ensure safety and to achieve line of sight goals.


Key Accountabilities

  • Review, approve and post maps and records projects
  • Update and maintain various reports as well as maintain the backlog databases daily into the company's GIS applications
  • Ensure timely delivery of information
  • Assist the team leadership of the mapping department with training, monitoring, developing personnel, as well as other varied assigned duties in the maps and records department as required
  • There may be occasions requiring the need to transport records and/or equipment between offices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Geographic Information Systems or related subject and 1+ year of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and GIS certificate required
  • 1+ year of experience working in a team environment
  • 1+ year of experience conducting data analysis preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
