Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer to join our team at Beacon Hill. As an ISSO, you will play a critical role in leading our robust Information Security program and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain IS security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation of IS security policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor system vulnerabilities and ongoing attacks.
  • Ensure proper restoration of security features during system recovery.
  • Conduct security assessments, tests, and reviews.
  • Enforce configuration management policies for hardware and software.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies for system operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Update and manage changes to the System Security Plan (SSP).
  • Analyze and protect user activity monitoring data.
  • Develop and maintain Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) for IS weaknesses.
  • Ensure users have required security clearances and are aware of security responsibilities.
Compliance and Awareness:
  • Assist with compliance activities and ensure guidelines are followed.
  • Validate organizational compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Ensure remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities.
  • Promote security awareness among management.
  • Track audit findings and recommend mitigation actions.
Education and Certifications:
  • BS Degree is preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of experience with system auditing.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security).
  • 4+ years' experience with government policy/regulations, as well as security.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • ISSO, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security.
