Ragan Communications is searching for an individual prospector to land sales of memberships to our exclusive network and learning community. If you are an outstanding listener and communicator with experience selling to senior-level executives, this is the position for you. Ragan is the number-one media brand serving communicators, marketers, and HR professionals. We’re seeking a sales driver to steer our premium brands via elite memberships for Ragan's Communications Leadership Council.

 

We are ready to welcome a sales professional with a proven record of closing $200,000+ in new sales each month. If you have at least four years of full-time sales experience in a B2B corporate environment (not retail)—and are great at nurturing prospects virtually and in person—consider joining the industry’s number-one media brand. Full compensation will be commensurate with experience in consultative sales for professional services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and close new business.
  • Retain and grow existing accounts.
  • Create and manage client accounts, timelines, and project work.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage growth and increase annual spend for each client.
  • Work productively within CRM database for accurate sales tracking and reporting.
  • Persistently dig into data across multiple platforms to uncover top targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to drive sales.
  • Research, plan and execute ongoing competitive market analysis.
  • Attend conferences and networking events to build network.
  • Maintain fluency in Ragan’s suite of products and services and how they deliver value in the marketplace.
  • Support sales leadership team with business-building projects and duties.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence to engage professionally with executive- and C-level contacts.
  • Strong customer advocacy with motivation to help others solve problems via product benefits.
  • Demonstrated success with surpassing target sales and retention goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a sales role
  • Remote (or option to work in Chicago headquarters)
