The VP of finance will oversee accounting and finance functions to maximize growth potential and profitability of the business while supporting the achievement of Company goals and objectives.

This person will collaborate with the President to identify strategic financial initiatives that enhance key performance indicators and secure optimal business performance. This person will ensure fiscally sound and responsible decision making, appropriate management and adherence to governance practices.

Vice President of Finance Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations including transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, financial statement preparation, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting along with internal and external communication of financial results.

·        Manage the accounting team; communicate goals, support development initiatives and operate as a culture champion

·        Oversee human resources operations including payroll, taxes, benefits, and workers compensation

·        Increase profitability using operational and strategic initiatives

·        Establish and manage fiscal controls and processes to secure budget compliance and financial sustainability

·        Create and provide regular and accurate financial reports to the President and other senior executives

·        Manage Company insurance policies, claims, and renewals; evaluate policy coverage and create strategies and policies to reduce associated costs

·        Serve as counsel on the financial aspects of contract considerations

·        Monitor, measure and analyze financial performance and advise corrective actions

·        Evaluate the organizational structure and functions to support continuous improvement initiates that drive peak efficiency and effectiveness

·        Represent the Company to financial partners, institutions, public officials, vendors, customers and auditors

·        Ensure financial legal compliance


Vice President of Finance Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA certification is required

·        8+ years of accounting leadership experience

·        Continuous improvement mindset; problem solving and strategizing skills

·        Superb written and verbal communication skills

·        Experience with supporting and advising an executive team

·        Technically savvy in forecasting, budgeting, controls and financial management systems
