SUMMARY
Seeking a Consumer-Packaged Goods Sales Manager is responsible for working with the sister company sales representatives to identify new business opportunities and expand client base within the contract packaging, CPG and display segments. Will act as the liaison on national accounts and will establish strong relationships with potential clients and fillers to understand their co-packing and filling needs and material requirements. This position is in the DFW area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales: Work with the sister company sales reps to make profitable sales of contract packaging, beverage and display goods and services. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the contract packaging sector through market research, networking, and prospecting.
National Accounts: Follow the customer base and opportunities upstream wherever applicable to expand existing opportunities into national opportunities.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their contract packaging requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
Prepare sales offerings that provide compelling R.O.I.s to customers while ensuring maximum profitability.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare comprehensive proposals and presentations that articulate the value proposition of our company to potential clients.
Oversee quotes, agreements and contracts with outside stakeholders, confirming accuracy and adherence to company policies, terms and conditions.
Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and adherence to company policies. Also negotiate with vendors to obtain the best possible pricing, quality and service levels.
Engage vendors and other stakeholders to coordinate programs that will provide winning solutions for both the customer and company.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and adaptation.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, production, and logistics, to close opportunities and ensure seamless execution of client projects.
Ensure materials and products quoted for our customers will function optimally with the equipment utilized.
Maintain strict inventory awareness to ensure customer projects run smoothly and without interruption.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related field
- Proven track record in contract packaging and CPG consumer packaging good sales and management, ideally in the food and snack, beverage, and display business.
- Experience and knowledge if fulfillment sales and processes
- Broad understanding of packaging processes and equipment
- Proficiency in CRM software, Plex and Salesforce preferred.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives.
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
