Your role:

As the Regional Quality Manager North America you will be responsible for the strategic and operational performance of the Quality department, ensuring the successful delivery of business goals to exceed customer expectations for project quality. This will be a very hands-on role where you develop and execute all Quality activities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitate continuous improvement and achieving commercial success in operational performance
  • Collaborate with the QM network and business accountable units (e.g. Sales, SCM, Service, Procurement, EHS etc.) to achieve quality business goals.
  • Manage KPIs, track Non-conformance, drive CAPA and internal audit programs for identification and remediation of deficiencies that hinder project quality
  • Drive NCC (Nonconformance cost) topic across the region and take a lead for RCA & lessons learnt.
  • Craft a quality culture and awareness together with top management and regional management for continuous improvement, high customer satisfaction, and conformity with internal and external standards and regulations
  • Implement the global quality programs and monitors the effectiveness of these programs.
  • Ensure clarity, effectiveness, and efficiency of QM Audits to generate business impact
  • Initiate, promote and control strategic, global quality programs to drive the digital transition
  • Contribute in quality meetings with customers
  • Ensure that product safety activities are in line with internal and external regulations.
  • Acts as an escalation point of contact for quality issues

Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree, Advanced Quality degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial environment, automotive industry preferred
  • VDA 6.3 Certification strongly preferred
  • American Society for Quality (AQA) desired
  • Travel requirements is 30-40%

Key competences:

  • Organizational sensitivity: Senses the organizational structures, processes, bottlenecks and opportunities. Knows how the network of the organization works and how to operate in it.
  • Influencing: Being able to influence, generate support and align people through communication, and understanding the background and connections of the stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Leading the performance, workflow and development of a group of people (team, department, business line etc.) based on a formal leadership position.
