Position Title: Regional Sales Director

Location: Alpharetta (We are only hiring GA residents)

Reports to: VP of Sales

Direct Reports: Up to 10 Sales Managers, subject to change.


Position Summary: The Regional Sales Director will be a key business partner of the Vice President of Sales to drive profitable growth and revenue across North America in the K-12 market. This person will have a high impact on defining and executing Wahsega’s growth strategy through sales team expansion and introducing new products and services. Critical to their success will be fostering a rich culture of performance, accountability, and employee happiness. The Regional Sales Director will be a key leader in establishing and maintaining strong customer and integration partner relationships. As such, this person will be an effective leader at all levels, with both strong relationships as well as strategic business skills who can effectively rally and lead the organization to new levels of growth and financial success.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide sales leadership to Sales Managers and 20-45 remote Account Executives.
  • Provide leadership in all aspects of sales management including but not limited to motivating, performance evaluation, compensation, market coverage, recruiting and KPI monitoring.
  • Act as an integral member of the Wahsega leadership team, offering valuable insights into customer needs and preferences, competitive dynamics, and market trends.
  • Strategically refine the go-to-market model to drive future success, with an emphasis on both new business and recurring revenue streams.
  • Provide leadership and accountability to align top-line revenue goals with company margin criteria, ensuring customer satisfaction and strong bottom-line results.
  • Regularly and systematically evaluate the performance and effectiveness of resources, strategies, tactics, policies, and procedures to ensure the achievement of sales and profitability objectives.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with partners and appropriate school district personnel, establishing Key Opinion Leaders for Wahsega.
  • Recruit and develop a team that cultivates and fosters an environment of high performance, using performance management methodologies, employee development, career progression, compensation, rewards, and recognition.
  • Must reach and exceed pipeline generation goals that fuel our revenue growth.
  • Must reach and exceed aggressive revenue growth goals.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team of sales managers or account executives
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or any related area is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience across sales, marketing, and business leadership.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; understands and utilizes metrics/measurement to ensure success.
  • Technical competency and ability to learn and understand new technologies.
  • Prior experience working in scaling sales organizations
  • Proven capability in driving profitable growth.
  • Experienced in establishing new businesses, new divisions, new technologies, and/or new products is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing new systems with a track record of implementation.
  • Proven and tested human resource skills and people leadership is a must.
  • Outstanding, demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
