PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the management of operations across the Eastern United States, specifically focusing on multiple facilities. Lead a skilled team of Sales Executives while formulating effective sales strategies. Engage in discussions for potential sales opportunities, identify qualified leads, and coordinate with sales management for follow-ups. Collaborate closely with the Business Line Director to enhance sales across various service sectors, including ITE, consumer goods, machinery, lighting, and laboratory services.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Manage operational activities within the Eastern region and associated laboratories, ensuring adherence to TÜV SÜD Policies and ISO17025 Standards. Establish operational KPIs to evaluate regional performance, oversee supervisory responsibilities, assess training requirements, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Guide the direct sales team to achieve their targets and projections.
- Develop comprehensive business plans to support the achievement of sales goals and quotas.
- Prepare an annual budget and financial forecast, continuously monitor expenditures, and adjust forecasts monthly as necessary for each site.
- Collaborate with fellow Regional Managers to ensure adequate staffing and resources to meet business demands and anticipated growth.
- Streamline processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in customer meetings, inquiries, and testing to bolster regional business development.
- Supervise the team to ensure operational efficiency and project timelines are met, maximizing revenue and profit margins.
- Support the recruitment, training, and professional development of technicians and engineers.
- Formulate strategies and best practices for laboratory and equipment operations to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Devise long-term strategic plans for the region.
- Provide exceptional after-sales support to strengthen customer loyalty.
- Facilitate negotiations with current and prospective clients.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations at all sites.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- In-depth knowledge of technical and engineering aspects related to modern technology and TIC business.
- Proven ability to manage laboratory operations effectively to drive revenue and meet customer expectations.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educational experience is preferred.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in product safety compliance services.
- At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, including team development.
- A minimum of 5 years of operational experience in a laboratory setting with financial responsibilities.
- Familiarity with market research, sales, and negotiation principles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about the field.
