About the Role:
As a Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing the full spectrum of payroll processes and employee benefit programs. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and benefits administration. You’ll be the go-to person for payroll-related inquiries and will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll operations. Residency can be anywhere in the Peninsula/East Bay Area.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Oversee and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports for management and provide insights for decision-making.
- Employee Support: Serve as the main point of contact for payroll and benefits-related inquiries, providing exceptional support to employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processes and employee benefits administration, with a focus on medium to large companies.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and employee benefits programs.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with UKG, ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll and benefits information clearly to employees.
