Job Description:

As an integrated part of the department/unit, the Office Coordinator provides clerical support and ensures the efficient maintenance of files and data activities. This role involves insurance verification, customer service, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.


Key Skills:

Required:


Knowledge of insurance verification (PPO, HMO, Medicare, Workers’ Comp).

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, medical software).

Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Preferred:


Strong customer service skills.

Ability to work well independently and in a team.

Organized and efficient.

Daily Responsibilities:

Verify patient insurance and update records.

Submit authorizations for treatment.

Schedule appointments and register patients.

Handle appointment changes and cancellations.


Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least 2 years in a secretarial or customer service role.

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong communication skills, and experience with data entry.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with medical terminology, Kronos timekeeping, and data analysis.


Required Certifications:

Fire Life Safety Training (LA City): If not obtained upon hire, must be completed within 30 days and maintained by renewal before expiration.
