Inventory Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing our clients’ global inventory by partnering with the vendor network to understand client storage utilization and ensure all related billing is processed and accurate. Partners closely with internal clients and vendors to provide justification and resolution to all client related storage queries.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead monthly storage billing process ensuring accuracy and completeness of client billing and vendor invoicing
  • Ownership of storage reporting to provide visibility of storage billing trends and fluctuations to upper management.
  • Utilize trend analysis to identify necessary inventory and/or billing adjustments
  • Assist our warehousing vendors in inventory management, which may include storage transactions and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain scheduling and reporting of physical inventory counts & results for all clients
  • Work closely with Client Services on all storage related client queries and occasionally present findings directly to clients, as the subject matter expert on storage.
  • Responsible for storage invoice reconciliation across all vendor accrual accounts.
  • Must possess strong analytical thinking to understand causes of billing fluctuations & storage trends
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail



SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 3+ Years of experience, preferably with inventory management
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and effective communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Self-directed with a strong work ethic; capable of working independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of established business hours and adjust personal schedule to meet deadlines is required.
