Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Payroll Administrator in our Headquarters Office located in downtown Dallas, Texas. We provide a challenging but satisfying and rewarding work environment where employees are encouraged to offer suggestions that will grow our family. CES is looking to hire a Payroll Administrator who will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with entering and processing hourly and salaried payrolls including exceptions, garnishments, commissions and other earnings or deductions.
  • Reviews data imported from time and attendance systems to ensure accurate transfer of hours
  • worked as well as paid an unpaid time off hours.
  • Participates in the review and audit of computed wages and deductions. Seeks guidance on correcting errors or escalates issues to ensure accuracy of payroll. Posts wages and deductions to payroll records.
  • Assists managers and employees with basic questions regarding payroll, garnishments or other legal wage assignments.
  • Maintains payroll files in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
  • Assists with reconciling W-2 reporting as well as paid time off accrual and balance discrepancies.
  • Maintains payroll check stock inventory.
  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices preventing injury to self or co-workers.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work full time or overtime, if necessary.


Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Minimum of 5 years payroll or related experience or equivalent combination of education and
  • experience.
  • Paycor experience, preferred.
  • Bilingual, preferred.


Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws
  • Multi-state experience
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Explicit attention to detail and ability to consistently meet payroll scheduling requirements
  • Governs confidentiality as high priority
  • Strong MS Office skills; ability to create and modify spreadsheets in Excel


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Demands
