Position Title: Finance and Administration Supervisor

Role Summary:
The Finance and Administration Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the CFO/COO with the execution of all financial, human resources, and database management functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CFO/COO in overseeing the financial operations for multiple entities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll and human resources, collaborating with external payroll service providers and benefits consultants.
  • Act as the main administrator for CRM database management, specifically Salesforce and Nimble.
  • Support the CFO/COO in preparing financial reports, conducting audits, managing tax submissions, and overseeing the budgeting process.
  • Supervise one staff member responsible for accounts receivable and payable, as well as various journal entries and reconciliations.

Essential Duties:

  • Function as the database administrator for Nimble/Salesforce CRM and Blackbaud Financial Edge software, enhancing functionality, addressing user inquiries, and assisting with reporting.
  • Manage human resource operations, including payroll processing, onboarding, and benefits coordination with external services.
  • Facilitate communication regarding human resources matters with staff and management, addressing grievances, needs, updates, and evaluations.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries for all entities in Financial Edge, covering payroll, lending, management fees, and other necessary entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end financial reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Review and ensure accuracy in bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare schedules for audits and support documentation for tax returns.
  • Handle periodic reporting for political action committees as required.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and record retention policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounting, including management of financial reporting and CRM database administration.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is essential.
  • Proficiency in general ledger software (e.g., Financial Edge), Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce, with a preference for knowledge of Nimble CRM.
  • Ability to take on a leadership role, with strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, and timely deadline management.
  • High level of confidentiality required, along with effective communication skills to ensure understanding and compliance with policies.
