About the Role 


EMI Advisors is seeking a cross-functional Senior Strategy and Health Analyst to support the Executive Leadership Team with strategic planning initiatives, business development efforts, market research, and client delivery. The analyst may also have the opportunity to work closely with EMI’s skilled project managers and subject matters to gain first-hand experience in health information technology and innovation projects. We are looking for a candidate driven to take ownership and responsibilities. This role will work with a small, yet fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team made up of the leadership, business development team, and financial team and will report to the Chief Executive Officer. 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Lead and manage special projects assigned by the Chief Executive Officer. 
  • Oversee, coordinate, and manage IT, Claims, and Administrative Support. 
  • Professional Services focusing on creating positive outcomes for customers. 
  • Conduct health and social services market research and analysis. 
  • Lead and manage proposal development.  
  • Monitor new business development opportunities.  
  • Facilitate business development brainstorming sessions with EMI Project Managers. 
  • Communicate business development efforts with Operations Team.   
  • Monitor and track firm Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by working with relevant KPI leads owners to manage implementation of EMI’s Strategic Plan.  
  • Project manage internal projects (project initiation, coordination, scheduling, planning, controlling, and closing).   
  • Incorporate Lean Six Sigma principles into day-to-day activities.  
  • Gather data to develop well-informed and effective strategic plans.  
  • Assist in document creation, editing, management, accessibility/tagging, distribution.  
  • Lead meeting note taking and distribution. 
  • Initiate project coordination, scheduling, planning, controlling, and closing.  


Background and Qualifications 


  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Biology and Cognitive Science, Master's degree in public health, Health Administration, or a Health Information Technology field preferred.  
  • Experience Requirement: 2-3 years of career experience. 
  • Shows proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with strengths in Excel and PowerPoint. While our staff utilize both Mac and PC, most of our deliverables are through Office.  
  • Strong background in customer service, with examples of business communications, e-mail etiquette, and the ability to perform under stress.  
  • Good reader and listener, the willingness to get involved from Day 1, and a detail-oriented approach. We appreciate punctuality and an open mind.  
  • Experience in health IT or health information management. 


EMI Advisors is a growing company, and we seek a professional who can gain from this experience and grow with us. This position will be a hybrid role with 80% being remote, and 20% in the office, thus the individual should have a quiet and stable environment from which to make and receive calls and other communications.
