QA Analyst (Hybrid position)


Job Summary

The Technical QA analyst will work closely with technical teams, including the Data team, to manage and deliver QA and Data Quality projects. The role involves overseeing QA processes, convert project specifications into test plans, and managing QA execution from start to finish. Proficiency with tools like Jira, DevOps, Confluence and Asana is required. This is a hands-on position and should communicate effectively between Business and Technology teams


Duties/Responsibilities

· Oversee the entire QA execution process.

· Create tools, best practices, and documentation for the team’s reference.

· Ensure timely completion of QA work streams by managing QA activities.

· Multitasking and communicating status regularly to ensure all deadlines are met.

· Utilize QA expertise and strong data querying skills to analyze data, evaluate states, and effectively communicate issues.

· Promote continuous improvement and encourage team’s input on innovative ideas.

· Manage weekly meetings with key stake holders to define QA scope, objective, resource allocation and schedule.

· Communication is paramount to keep to the sprint milestones to ensure a successful delivery and deployment.

· Position will require that the individual understands all regulations and laws applicable to their assigned roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, and regular maintenance of policies and procedures that govern the work of assigned roles and responsibilities, including compliance with the security requirements of ePHI.


Required Skill and Abilities

· Capable of effectively managing multiple QA projects simultaneously.

· Strong SQL skills are required.

· Able to support the testing methodologies while CICD is in action as part of DevOps process.

· Strong knowledge of data management and different modern data technologies in cloud. (AWS, Azure or GCP)

· Ability to understand the data, recognize issues within data, contribute to solutioning, and support testing efforts.

· UI/UX expertise is a plus.

· Adept with test automation tools and frameworks (Postman, Selenium, JUnit etc.)

· Demonstrated ability to make decisions quickly, shift direction with just enough information and operate effectively in grey areas


Education and Experience


· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software Engineering or a relative field.

· Experience with high volume transaction environments.

· Experience using visual tools to ensure transparency in tracking key QA milestones.

· Experience with various project methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

· Testing framework experience on any tool (React unit, Cypress, React Testing Library etc.)
