Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for conducting quality control inspections, testing, and sampling procedures to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Quality Control Inspections: Perform repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
  • Inspect Purchased Parts and Subassemblies: Inspect purchased parts, subassemblies, or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.
  • Rework or Reject Subassemblies or Finished Products: Rework or reject subassemblies or finished products as required, and perform audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
  • Document Inspection Results: Accurately document the results of inspections and testing.
  • Coordinate Calibration of Test Equipment: Coordinate calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Assist in Writing Inspection Procedures: Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.
Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree: Possess a vocational/technical training degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 2-4 Years of Experience: Have 2-4 years of prior experience in a similar position.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess technical expertise in quality control, inspection, and testing.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Possess strong mathematical skills.
  • Computer Skills: Possess computer skills and ability to interpret prints, schematics, and drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree: Possess an associate's degree in a related field.
