Special focus on two areas – project management of web and a mix of interactive tools (to include mobile applications, and interactive animations and trainings) and maintenance of a global marketing support function.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assists with the development of a comprehensive Web / evolving interactive development and management strategy. Interactive tools will include, but are not limited to, 3D and interactive product animations and training tools, as well as mobile applications. · Responsible for the implementation of divisional digital strategy and project management of its components.
  • Assists with the development of a global markets support strategy across the corporate and product brands. · Responsible for the tactical implementation of the global marketing strategy. · Support marketing communications and their print and digital media development.
  • Ensure product content in print/cd/web is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assists with scheduling, coordination of internal and external resources, scope control, cost accounting, technical issue resolution, and developing a project work plan.
  • Active participation in new development including estimating project scope, costs, duration, and resource requirements in written proposals.
  • Assist in the documentation of requirements analysis, design specifications, user’s guides, installation guides, or custom training materials.
  • Work with Market Communications department to ensure the current product images for all product lines are used.
  • Ensure product information is consistent.
  • Work with stakeholders to incorporate user experience considerations in web site, print, and multimedia strategy development. Define and manage development of user experience.
  • Assist in recommending best practice solutions based on past experience, research, and visionary thinking.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)


  • Strong understanding of Web site structure and strategy – information architecture, voice, content development and interactivity, as well as content management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with IT, brand management, regulatory, legal, regional marketing management, sales personnel, surgeons, creative suppliers, technology consultants and other industry specialists.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid project management, organizational and time management skills.
  • Background and knowledge of strategic marketing, brand development and management.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Good understanding of global marketing and/or business practices.
  • Good understanding of global orthopedic industry environment and competitive forces.


Education/Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communication, marketing, business or equivalent required. Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience project management, and strategic downstream marketing required. 3+ years experience with interactive strategy preferred.
  • Other appropriate technical training plus equivalent on the job training/experience may be considered.
