They provide a comprehensive macroeconomic research service for subscribers that includes detailed forecasts, they delve into crucial topics such as macroeconomic policies, monetary policies, fiscal strategies, geopolitical dynamics, and political landscapes, tailored for a global audience of esteemed global buy-side investors and corporations.


The successful Principal Research Analyst, will be responsible for covering U.S. policy issues that are important to investors. The ideal chosen candidate will have experience guiding investors through the complex world of policymaking.


This role involves producing regular reports on current political developments and their effects on market conditions for investors

Responsibilities of Principal Research Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Write US & Global coverage weaving the thread between politics, policy, and markets, highlighting opportunities and risks arising from political, legislative, and regulatory events.
  • Monitor and analyse policy actions from the White House and Congress.
  • Produce regular, detailed reports on political developments and their economic implications.
  • Collaborate with other analysts and team members to develop comprehensive market analyses.
  • Respond to requests based on client demand, working with analysts and sales as directed by partners to serve both the existing and new client base
  • Provide exceptional service to existing clients and actively seek out and support new clients, including long/short funds, private equity firms, corporations, credit funds, family offices, and others.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients when appropriate. This role involves being the first responder and maintaining the main substantive relationship with the client
  • Handle ongoing client requests on specific issues that require customised efforts.


Background of Principal Research Analyst:

  • Background in US policy / politics, ideally working on Capitol Hill, highly desired.
  • Experience working with investors and corporations on US policy with a focus on Capitol Hill / The White House
  • Understanding of markets and how policy affects markets is required.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. political and economic systems.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality reports.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience as a Research Analyst
  • Ideally based in Washington (preferable but not mandatory)
