Position Overview:

The Development Strategy and Governance Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Research Analyst I. This full-time position is designed for a one-year renewable term at IFPRI's headquarters. The selected candidate will engage in research support for quantitative analyses across various subjects, including agricultural productivity, market dynamics, migration trends, agriculture-nutrition connections, public investment, and political economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate data cleaning, maintenance, collection, and analysis utilizing statistical software.
  • Support econometric analysis and various research methodologies.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize findings.
  • Assist in drafting and refining research documents, policy briefs, and presentations.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and stay updated on relevant literature and best practices in agriculture and economic development.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, International Development, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields.
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis using statistical software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality results within deadlines.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is between $55,600 and $69,500, with consideration given to experience and relevant factors.
