Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to develop and lead purchasing operations, ensuring the efficient procurement of essential materials and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong supply chain background, have exceptional negotiation abilities, and a demonstratable history of optimizing purchasing strategies, resulting in cost savings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Create and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's operational needs and goals.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services at competitive prices.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and finance teams to forecast demand, prioritize purchasing needs, and align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Conduct supplier audits, assess capabilities, and evaluate risks to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical practices.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead teams in supplier evaluation and selection, manage supplier performance, and address quality, delivery, and pricing issues.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, optimize inventory control processes, and reduce stockouts and carrying costs to improve cash flow.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement and supply chain management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite and NetSuite
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings, driving results, and enhancing efficiency in supply chain operations.
