Role Overview:
The Senior Procurement Manager will oversee the procurement processes, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization's objectives and enhancing the financial stability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with key team members and management regarding procurement needs and specifications.
- Verify weekly inventory accuracy prior to submission.
- Negotiate pricing and manage the timely delivery of goods.
- Assess incoming shipments to confirm product consistency with orders.
- Prepare and present monthly procurement reports.
- Utilize Excel and Visual Basic for effective inventory management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in procurement.
- Comprehensive understanding of purchasing protocols, particularly in food, beverage, and printing sectors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong awareness of food and inventory trends with an operational focus.
- Experience with P&L accountability and contract management is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data-entry skills.
- Familiarity with school nutrition and the food industry is highly desirable.
- Serv Safe certification is a plus.
