Position Summary:

The role of Senior Procurement Manager is pivotal in ensuring the effectiveness and quality of purchasing operations. This position demands strong leadership and management skills to uphold the standards of procurement processes while aligning with the organization's strategic goals and bolstering the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members and management to align purchasing activities with operational needs and specifications.
  • Verify weekly inventory accuracy and rectify any discrepancies prior to submission.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Inspect incoming shipments to confirm that received products match the orders placed.
  • Prepare and present monthly procurement reports.
  • Utilize Excel and Visual Basic for effective inventory management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in procurement.
  • Comprehensive understanding of purchasing protocols, particularly in food, beverage, and printing sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various ordering systems.
  • Strong awareness of food and inventory trends with an operational focus.
  • Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent data entry and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the nutrition and food industry, along with purchasing practices, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Serv Safe certification is a plus.
