Brightspeed is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that drive business value and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement leadership. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, develop and implement procurement strategies, and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Management: Develop and execute category strategies that align with Brightspeed's business objectives, including identifying opportunities for cost savings, improving supplier performance, and enhancing the overall procurement process.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFx events, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
- Procurement Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, and operations, to ensure effective execution of procurement strategies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier performance, contract compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services, including regular communication, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in strategic sourcing and procurement leadership.
- Skills: Advanced category experience, proven experience in leading transformational change, experience creating collaborative relationships, and strong negotiation skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the telecommunications industry and its procurement practices.
