The Project Manager is an integral member of the Agilitas Energy project team. The position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a project. This can include stakeholder expectations, costs, schedule, project controls, reporting and the various members of the project team throughout the entire project life-cycle. The Project Manager works closely with our engineers and construction site managers to oversee the successful design and build of our energy assets.


The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of 3+ years of project management experience in the field of solar and/or energy storage design-build construction.


Scope of Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with the Project Development team to determine project requirements and expectations.
  • Partner with the engineering team to ensure project designs meet or exceed internal and/or external requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of project budgets & cost estimates through collaboration with the Estimating Department and through soliciting proposals from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain best pricing & terms.
  • Draft & negotiate subcontracts and scope of work documents through coordination with the Project Team.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines in conjunction with the Construction Management team.
  • Manage prime contract & subcontract expectations and reporting requirements.
  • Work with Construction Site Managers to track and manage subcontractor productivity and performance
  • Maintain project budgets, cash flows and cost reporting
  • Track and evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Create and maintain project documentation on a weekly basis.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Thoughtful and Detail oriented
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to logically work through problems and come to reasonable conclusions.
  • Proficiency in software related to construction/project management (specifically Microsoft Project, Excel, and Procore)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, details, and specifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Project/Construction Management focus is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of Project Management experience; solar and/or energy storage experience preferred
  • Experience with design-build commercial or industrial construction projects and contracts
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts & subcontracts
  • Knowledge of Building and Electrical codes
