Job Description

Proper Change Management is a critical success factor to growth at McDonald’s.We are rethinking how we support Change at McDonald’s through the formation of a McDonald’s Change Center of Excellence (COE).The Change COE partners with leaders to enable the human side of transformation, ensuring people adopt the changes needed to promote the long-term success of our business. As a member of the Change COE, you will be a part of a team that is building something new. You’ll find success by being a seeker of innovation, a self-starter, collaborative, and a strategic partner for our customers. We’ll ensure you have the tools to take advantage of the growth opportunities we’re excited to provide.

McDonald’s Change COE is seeking a Manager, Change Management todrive the development and deployment of the change framework and methodology, including continued curation of change templates, tools, assets, accelerators, and experiences. This role is responsible for collaborating across the COE to coach practitioners on how to apply methodologies on Change programs and projects. This role will report to Sr. Director – Change COE Lead within the Global People function.

What will you do?

Drive Adoption with One McDonald’s Way of Doing Change

  • Maintain an understanding of Change and broader McDonald’s strategy and priorities
  • Work closely with Change practitioners to ensure understanding of Change framework
  • Advise and coach functional leaders on Change Management methodology
  • Leverage the Change Center of Excellence partners for subject matter expertise
  • Understand the business priorities and translate them into the highest impact Change programs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and incorporate feedback on Change COE toolkit and related resources
  • Provide change management, training and development as needed on Change framework and methodology
  • Lead or participate in change management projects as needed

Develop and Mentor your People

  • Act as a coach and mentor to develop junior resources and establish a coaching culture in the COE
  • Provide clarity for team to understand the big picture, broader McDonald’s strategy/ context

Support growth of Change knowledge across the Enterprise

  • Gain understanding of Change Framework and support training of partners, practitioners, and business leaders
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs with internal and external partners
  • Actively identify ways to inspire Change initiatives on specific projects and opportunities to refine existing Change resources

Qualifications

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field.

Education Preferred

Master’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field preferred.

Minimum Required Skills

Intermediate to advanced level change management skills. Comfort with Word, PowerPoint and collaborative technologies; high Excel proficiency is required

Experience Required

Five years minimum experience in Change management required.

Experience Preferred

Experience in designing and executing project plans, managing junior resources, contributing to change methodology design, creating deliverables that require cross-function collaboration and socialization. This role requires ability to provide strategic guidance to Business leaders for low – medium complexity Change programs.
