Job role overview:

As Deployment Project Manager in Horizon56, you will be part of the Deployment Function which is responsible for engaging with customers to successfully deploy our solution into operations. The team comprises of Digital Deployment Engineers, that all comes with industry background (typically as offshore drillers) and travels to customers offices and offshore rigs to support with on-site training and change management as-well as people responsible for training material and more.

As a Deployment Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating activities ensuring delivery to our customers. This includes both technical deployment of our systems, organizing training activities, coordinating activities across many different roles, teams, companies and locations. Offshore drilling activities are dynamic in nature, so is our deployment projects – you need to be able to be prepared to adjust plans on a continues basis while keeping all stakeholders informed.

You are expected to have some travel activities to rigs, customer and partner offices globally.


Job role responsibilities:

  • Early client engagement, setting up project plan and timeline for deployment
  • Coordinate with Customers (operators and drilling contractors) following up on delivery and expectations from all parties. Highlight potential challenges and how to solve these
  • Assist clients with change management process of introducing new system
  • Collaborating, leading and managing other deployment team members, external resources and customers
  • Coordinate with Horizon56 IT Operations team to deploy our solutions as per the customers' requirements and input
  • Be up to date and aware of Horizon56 roadmap and priorities.
  • Continuously work on optimizing how Horizon56 drive deploy activities

  • Background within the drilling industry, candidate must have experience from drilling operation
  • A proactive attitude with a high sense of urgency to follow up on delivery
  • Good knowledge of change management and human factors
  • Great project management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Articulate in English (both written and verbal)
  • Confidence in leading meetings and other related group activities


Working location:

We are looking for someone located in the US.

Additionally, there may be occasional requests for the employee to travel to other locations for business purposes to meet clients, plan deployment activities or collaborate internally in Horizon56.
