The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to product roadmaps, product strategy, and business plans to enhance the software deployment experience of our products, creating significant value for our customers.

The Product Manager will work closely with Product Management, Product Strategy, and R&D teams to define and develop innovative, next-generation capabilities for the installation and significantly accelerating the adoption of AspenTech's new product releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary expert and advocate for software installation and deployment best practices across AspenTech's product suites, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Platform team and other stakeholders to ensure that deployment practices are integrated effectively.
  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for software deployment and infrastructure, aligning with broader company goals.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and R&D teams to incorporate their requirements into the software release strategy.
  • Spearhead initiatives to streamline installation processes, licensing, and deployment times, significantly accelerating the adoption of AspenTech's new product releases.
  • Design and implement innovative workflows and capabilities that substantially enhance reliability and ease of use for both IT departments and individual users.
  • Develop strategies to improve software distribution, deployment, and upgrade adoption rates, enhancing the overall user experience and ensuring seamless transitions to new versions.
  • Lead efforts to simplify and modernize software packaging, making it easier for customers to roll out and deploy software across various environments.
  • Oversee enhancements to the Nexus deployment platform to streamline software rollout, improve installation processes, and optimize the end-user experience during mass deployments across multiple machines.
  • Translate customer insights and feedback into actionable software requirements and product strategies that promote rapid adoption of new software releases.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive framework for managing software platform specifications and integrating the latest third-party software versions for AspenTech products.
  • Ensure consistent compatibility across different versions of AspenTech products and their third-party dependencies.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive platform deployment strategy that encompasses both on-premises and private cloud environments, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of related experience, including at least two years of experience in the design of software installation and deployment packages for both IT departments and individual users.
  • In-depth knowledge of software deployment methodologies, installation processes, deployment automation, and familiarity with software packaging and distribution.
  • Strong understanding of integrating third-party software dependencies and maintaining compatibility across different product versions.
  • Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders, understand their workflows, and design innovative solutions that improve deployment processes.
  • Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer, Sales, Product Managers, and R&D, to incorporate requirements and drive AspenTech software deployment user experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey deployment strategies, best practices, and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive documentation, including user guides, online help resources, and instructional materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and modernize deployment processes and software packaging to meet the needs of a dynamic market.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), virtualization, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with deployment tools such as SCCM, Software Center, Docker, and Terraform is a plus.
