Job Title: Field Service Deployment Specialist

At IMI Americas Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Deployment Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing field service activities, ensuring seamless delivery of services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute field service activities to meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Schedule and dispatch field service technicians, tooling, and spare parts to job sites in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper tooling is available for scheduled work and advise technicians of their schedule commitments.
  • Develop and provide complete job information packets to field service technicians, including drawings, datasheets, customer information, and job history.
  • Facilitate parts orders to support field service technicians on-site and assist with expediting parts shipments.
  • Manage customer purchase orders, intercompany purchase orders, and 3rd party purchase orders for assigned work.
  • Monitor and manage costs on service orders, notifying customers when costs reach 75% of the purchase order.
  • Manage the change order process with customers and sales teams to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Provide data to billing coordinators to enable accurate weekly forecasts and 30-day look-ahead.
  • Gather and review field and repair documentation for completeness before sending to billing coordinators for invoicing.
  • Review, create, or modify Salesforce information to ensure work can be monitored by stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing processes, procedures, and workflows to improve field service performance.
  • Manage revisions of templates, bill sheets, rate sheets, and other documents.
  • Coordinate and manage field service technician travel processes.
  • Maintain after-hours phone support and call schedules.
  • Provide post-job follow-up to ensure all actions are complete, including drawing changes, spare parts restocking, and required customer reports.
  • Assist proposal managers and estimators with providing quotes to customers for service jobs.
  • Assist with determining new construction project commissioning schedules and ensure sites are properly supported.
  • Work closely with technical engineers to define problems, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues.
  • Maintain an updated database for field service employees and contractors, including personal data, qualifications, and skill set requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; associate's degree desired; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field or similar role, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of company products, practices, and procedures in managing work related to service, manufacturing, and delivery.
  • Knowledge of contracts, contracts management, and terms and conditions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills necessary.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written) required.
  • Self-driven personality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of principles of order administration, including contract provisions and precedents.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, and products in the valve industry desirable.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) desirable.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques desirable.
