Position Overview:


OMEC Smart Card is seeking a skilled Automation Engineering Technician with a strong background in automated equipment repair and maintenance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting automated systems and a deep understanding of electrical systems and PLC programming. This role is especially suited for someone who can seamlessly collaborate with our international teams, ensuring smooth operations across borders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Automated Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on automated equipment, ensuring adherence to maintenance plans and minimizing downtime.
  • Equipment Inspections: Conduct daily and spot inspections of automated systems, promptly addressing any issues to ensure continuous production.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose root causes of equipment issues and implement timely repair solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintenance Planning: Draft and continuously improve equipment maintenance plans, focusing on reducing unplanned outages and enhancing machine reliability.
  • Machine Setup: Perform machine setup to ensure that all process parameters meet product requirements and standards.
  • Operator Training: Train and guide operators on the correct use and maintenance of automated equipment, ensuring they have the knowledge needed for efficient operation.
  • Spare Parts Management: Suggest and implement improvements for the management and localization of spare parts to ensure availability and reduce costs.
  • Machine Improvement Plans: Collaborate with team members to formulate and implement machine improvement plans that boost process capability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Documentation: Organize and oversee the filing of equipment drawings and maintenance records to ensure accurate and accessible documentation.
  • Energy Management: Guide and manage power consumption plans, focusing on conservation and efficiency to reduce energy costs.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete all other related tasks assigned by superiors, contributing to the overall success of the production team.


Required Qualifications:


  • Educational Background: Associate degree, Vocational School certification, or higher in a technical field related to engineering or automation.
  • Experience: Over 3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance, particularly in automated systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in diagnosing equipment issues, performing maintenance tasks, and training operators on equipment usage.
  • Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively within an international team, understanding and respecting cultural differences, especially in collaboration with colleagues in China.
  • Commitment: A strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and dedication to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Higher Education: College degree or higher in mechanical engineering, automation, or related fields.
  • Advanced Experience: Over 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance, with experience in designing, assembling, and overhauling process equipment.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Experience with PLC programming, particularly Siemens PLCs, and a deep understanding of automated manufacturing systems.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin or experience working in a Chinese business environment is a significant advantage.
